Lanzarote

Easter 2018 I went to Lanzarote for 10 days on a surf and yoga retreat.

Lanzasurf can provide accommodation in surf houses, these are simple but adequate. The surf house I stayed in had one large bedroom with 3 sets of bunk beds and a smaller room with 2 single beds. The kitchen was functional and had everything needed, the bathroom was also functional and clean. I feel 2 things let the house down, the first is it only had one bathroom, it would have been better if there was a separate or second toilet. Secondly there was very little storage space in the dorm bedroom.

Surf lessons are provided Monday – Saturday, the times for the lessons can change depending on the weather to ensure safety and the best surf conditions. You can also rent surf boards from Lanazsurf. They also provide skate lessons which I did not partake in.

There are yoga classes at the studio next to the office I believe they try to put on 2 classes a day, when I visited there were sometimes 2 evening classes as there were a lot of guests.  Massage can also be provided to mend you after surfing!

All the staff at Lanzasurf were friendly and welcoming, the instructors were brilliant. I had never surfed before but I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to go surfing again.
